The Falkirk Tryst Orchestra is a community-based organisation offering the opportunity for instrumentalists from all backgrounds and ages to join together and perform in an orchestra as well as giving the communities of Falkirk, Stirling and other parts of the Forth Valley a source of locally-sourced instrumental music.

The orchestra plays two main concerts a year and contributes to a shared Christmas celebration with two choirs. In May, the Orchestra participates in the Tryst Festival, giving a concert that features a soloist, often one from the local area. In October, the Orchestra holds a charity concert, the proceeds of which are donated to a local charity.

Looking for a place to play?

The only requirement for membership in the orchestra is a high level of commitment to both rehearsal attendance and practice at home. If you are returning to music-making after a break or looking to play in an orchestra for the first time, come along and join in. Please see the Membership and Contact pages for more information.
